"The place was a bit unclean. There was an infestation of bats near our room somewhere in the ceiling. They also need to exterminate. Lots of cockroaches. The air conditioning was good, but no blankets just a sheet."

"We had an exceptional experience at Canavida. Jess communicated with us well in advance and gave us the details for a smooth checkin, many recommendations for activities, restaurants and local spots. She was communicative throughout our stay. The property is breathtaking, with an infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The amenities had everything we needed, including an outdoor grill for a nice home cooked dinner. We are already planning our trip to Canavida for next year and plan to stay even...

"We loved our stay at the Shelter from the Storm Villas. Pascal and Ginny were lovely hosts and we could not have asked for a more beautiful place to start our Costa Rica vacation. Located just off the main highway into Uvita, it was easy to find, easy to get to and still maintained a quiet, serene ambiance. "We loved Canavida! If you want the hustle and bustle of a city, this place isn't for you. But if you want to be in the middle of nature with spectacular views, this place is heaven. It is well equipped with everything you need, and is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Just make sure to bring in whatever groceries you need before you start the drive up the long dirt road. The road was fine, but we were glad we had a 4x4 with high clearance. We could have driven without it, but it was easy...
