"Santa & Giovanni were wonderful! Anything we needed help with they were always available. Even gave us a ride to the train station! Fresh fruit & vegetables were plentiful! The air conditioners worked very well. It was very hot while we were there for 5 1/2 weeks. The pool was very refreshing. They even cooked for us along with their son & daughters help. We would definitely recommend you staying at this lovely home. It was very private, but the town was only 5 minutes away. "

"Villa Calcinaio was a beautiful place to spend our time while in Cortona. My goal was to get a slice of Tuscan life and this house gave me the opportunity to do just that. It was rustic but charming and updated ~20 years ago. Enrico was very responsive and even came to our rescue when we had trouble locating the house on the dark and rainy night when we arrived. "We were a family group of 15 ranging in age from 20 to 92. We used the pool every day. Laughed at the clothes dryer because they have the same kind in Portugal where we vacationed. Many people walked into Camucia and enjoyed the restaurants grocery stores etc. Several of us have been to Italy before my first time in Assisi but we shared experiences with them. Staff was prompt to arespond to any problems. And a week of perfect weather makes it all the better"

"Group of 9 had a fantastic stay. The villa is superbly fitted out with lovely decor and kitchen equipment. The kids loved the pool as did the adults and the evening meal area was superb. Very good communication with the host who gave us some great suggestions. Loved our holiday and the villa was exactly what we needed. Very secluded so loved watching the stars with lots of local wine."

"This property is beautiful inside and out. If I remember correctly, there’s 20-25 people currently living in Barbischio. It’s peaceful with fantastic views to the west over Gaiole. Gailoe is less than 10 minutes away with access to grocery, meat market, several restaurants and gelato! The location is perfect with access to the train in Montivarchi in 25-30 minutes. Radda, Volpaia, Greve,,Siena, San Gimignano…all close. We will stay here again. "

"This is a stunning property with a stunning view that photos simply cannot do justice to. My only reservation was the very poor directions to find it and some difficulty getting a hot water issue sorted out . The garden is stunningly beautiful and lavender bushes a hive of activity for bees and gorgeous butterflies that did not desturb us in any way even when standing in their midst observing them closely. We took our children and grandchildren and had a great time. The views are to die for the...
