I was close to the lake but the conditions of the hotel is not what it looks on the photos, so if you booking a room might as well do it for a night.

Xo hotel was wonderful, we stayed 4 nights and everyday our room was clean , breakfast was provided. Tours were offered as well, staff was helpful and friendly. The best part was the lagoon was just steps away. Recommend highly, will be visiting Xo hotel again.

The place was nice over all and the small section they have in front of the lake is nice and very convenient. They do have a restaurant on the property but we did not try it since we went into town to eat.

Worst “hotel” I’ve stayed in my life. Only reason I let my family sleep here was because it was too late to get a room anywhere else when we arrived to Bacalar and I already had a reservation here thanks to their false advertisement. Rooms are filthy, there was no receptionist when we arrived, security guard helped us get a room that was already paid. The pool was green and full of algae.

We had a great time! If you’re looking for a 5 start resort - this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay with your kids that offers an all inclusive option, this is it. The food and service was great. It’s a little far from town, but you can walk there. The pool and waterfront was very nice. The only downside is that the rooms need to be deep cleaned and renovated. There is a bit of mildew on the walls and the bathrooms smell a bit. Overall - a good stay! I would recommend the pontoon boat tour of the lake. We had a lot of fun!

La PEOR experiencia. Fotos totalmente falsas, ninguna refleja el estado actual del hotel. Al llegar estaba una pipa extrayendo los desechos en el hotel, por lo que apestaba. La recepcionista (quuien el resto del tiempo estuvo pegada al celular) advirtió que el desayuno gratis era café, pan tostado y fruta (sandía o papaya) y que la alberca no servía por las lluvias (en toda la estancia no estuvo limpia). La habitación horrible y peligrosa, el vidrio de la única ventana quebrado (lo que representa un peligro si llevas niños), el sillón asquerosamente sucio, el inodoro sin tapa y apestoso, las llaves oxidadas, no salía agua caliente y el cortinero casi nos cae encima, una habitación totalmente impresentable , la terraza igualmente descuidada. Le dije esto a un recepcionista que por cierto se ausentaba por largos ratos y solo dijo que lo iba a reportar. Afortunadamente, otro recepcionista del turno matutino nos cambió de habitación al día siguiente. El servicio del restaurante es malo y caro, nos sirvieron mal los platillos del desayuno (con costo) y se molestaron porque reclamamos, cuando lo que pedíamos era que los sirvieran tal cuál dice en su menú. En el muelle, los camastros rotos y los cojines sucios y los que atienden ponen música súper fuerte, ni siquiera para estar ahí un rato y relajarte, y como están aparcados tapan la vista a la laguna. Con ellos se pide el kayak, entonces cuando se van (a las 6 pm) ya no se puede, justo es buena hora porque ya hay un poco de sombra

Alberca un poco descuidada, habitacion agradable pero falta un poco de cariño y pintura. Desayuno fue los mismo 3dias, podrian variar el desayuno para estancias mayores a 3 dias.

En general esta bien, trato amable, instalaciones limpia, solo que el desayuno es repetitivo, todos los dias huevo de diferentes forma, chilaquiles verdes o rojos o con frijoles, o pan tostado con frijoles tipo molletes, para varios dias, ya el ultimo no se antoja nada de eso.

Propiedad en malas condiciones. Nuestra habitacion estaba junto a cuartos sin terminar con mucha basura. Cobraron extra por llevar a nuestra mascota. Aunque esto no esta estipulado cuando haces la reservacion. La propiedad si esta en frente de la laguna, pero por lo que cobran, ya estando en Bacalar, encontramos muchos otros lugares en mejores condiciones por el mismo precio o menor. La comida del restaurante muy mala y limitada, te limitan porciones y aunque es al aire libre, no permiten llevar mascotas. Realmente Bacalar es muy bonito, pero hay que tener cuidado de darle nuestro negocio a este tipo de propiedades que deberian invertir en re acondicionar o al menos terminar las instalaciones.

Publicidad engañosa
Tienen publicidad engañosa, no es nada como lo muestran. Tienen instalaciones viejas, descuidadas y muy dañadas. Nuestra habitación se inundó y mi equipaje sufrió daños. Habia humedad en las paredes, los espejos y puertas, todo oxidado y muy dañado. Una compañera del viaje se cayó aparatosamente en el muelle porque las tablas estaban sueltas y los clavos estan por fuera. Las bicicletas a disposicion de renta, estan oxidadas, los cojinetes rotos y 2 de nosotros sufrimos golpes con moretones enormes en la ingle por eso, porque además la calle de acceso al hotel esta en condición deplorable. La limpieza y mantenimiento en general del hotel no es buena. Las únicas buenas referencias es que si está frente a la laguna y la ubicacion es buena, se encuentra a solo 5 minutos del centro de Bacalar.
