"La p'tite bergerie is a beautiful gite, and has everything you need to make your stay homely and comfortable. It is set in an absolutely lovely area, very peaceful and relaxing, but is ideally located to many other towns, villages and sights this part of the Dordogne has to offer. Beatrice and Remy are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much for them, we really felt a friendship has been formed, so much so that we will be returning in December to enjoy their gite at Christmas time...can't wait!...

"This is clearly a 5-star property both in a lovely removed, private setting yet mere steps from the old town. The cottage is lovingly crafted and very up to date. I was sorry not to have a "welcome notebook" with a history of the property as that would have been entirely fascinating. And although we figured everything out, a "user's guide" attached to that notebook would have been helpful. It is a spectacular property and was a joy to experience. "

"Mosquitoes were waiting for us when we opened the door, we were all bitten ! When inquired, owner told us mosquitoes are rare in Sarlat, guess we were very unlucky. But that really spoiled our stay since we lit mosquito coils & sprayed repellent whenever we're in the house, almost fumigated ourselves. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."

Gite conversion was fine, though some of the equipment was idiosyncratic, with microwave/grill but no oven. Only a two burner hob and unnecessary dishwasher (for 2 people?). 3 steak knives but no butter knives. The dining/living room cupboards were ancient and two of the doors fell off while we were there.
