"It was a little hard to find, as entry is easy to miss and I wasn't sure which of the cabins it was. But once I got there it was worth the effort: a very nice shepherd's hut, with good facilities and the view was wonderful even in early spring, the only nearby neighbours are the pheasants and deer.Bad: Drive down (or especially back up) is very steep on gravel track so took some practice to get up. "This is the third time I've been to the Hide and it never fails to impress. The hosts are wonderful, the location is perfect for trips out, and the Hide, itself, is perfect for a quiet retreat. "Cannot recommend enough superb in all aspects very quiet area away from busy lives. Very clean everything you need for a perfect stay plus extra personal touches from the host ie fresh flowers and home made cakes. "We had a brilliant 3 night stay at this property which is in a lovely setting just outside Axminster. The layout is perfect with comfortable & quality furnishings throughout. The kitchen is well equipped too with dishwasher & washing machine! Also outside there is a lovely terrace area with BBQ & small garden with lovely views. Highly recommend."

"Second time we have stayed here. Always a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and had everything we needed and plenty of logs to use in the fire. Fabulous location, in easy reach of some great beaches. Nice pub in the village that served good food, which was a bonus."
