"Absolutely wonderful. It was what I imagined a Tuscan Villa would be and more. It is private with spectacular views. The inside is roomy and comfortable with beautiful vaulted wood ceilings throughout. The kitchen was well equipped with everything I could think of. The pool is great with a gate that keeps children safe. The terraces with cushioned seating were perfect for lounging. The beds were very comfortable. Nice washer and clothes line. Highly recommend."

"We wanted to see a different part of Tuscany to the north of the typical Pisa, Sienna, Florence triangle. We chose here for Lucca, and are so glad we did. The little villa was great with everything we needed, marrying taste and practicality. The gardens splendid, pool excellent, views amazing, hosts wonderful. "Gloria was a lovely, welcoming host who was very accommodating when we arrived late due to an accident on the road. The property was clean and well equipped for our needs in an excellent location. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t that good when we were there but we were able to drive to Pisa and Lucca for day trips. Our last day was sunny so we headed to the beach which was lovely and not too busy at this time of year. My only note would be that the single bed in the attic room is quite small...

"Paolo’s property was perfect for me and my family. It is clean, spacious and very well presented. It is a perfect location for exploring the Garfagnana region and close to plenty of local amenities. "The quiet setting of this old farmhouse provided a calm retreat from the hectic days of sightseeing. Giacomo was a gracious host, meeting us when we arrived, giving us numerous helpful tips about sightseeing and restaurants, things to do and places to see. The spacious bedrooms of the house and views of the countryside are beautiful. There are stairs to negotiate, and having a vehicle is helpful. "

"We had a warm welcome from Donatella with an homemade cake as well as sparkling wine. All communications were great and we always had quick responses. In living in this house we discovered a part of World War II we were not familiar with, but my youngest son did not like the idea that families had been killed in the house and in surrounding houses and was slightly scared. "The house is very spacious and outside spaces are great; fruit trees, breathtaking views, great walks. All of this for a great deal. Serena, the host has been great throughout the whole process. The restaurants nearby are of high quality, shopping not so close but while on holiday you can organise yourself. A car is necessary for all duties.
