"The staff at this hotel needs to host customer service training sessions to teach others in the service industry how to treat customers because they are all simply OUTSTANDING!!! From the young woman at the desk when we checked in at nearly midnight, to the staff who checked us out the following morning, to the support staff we encountered during our short stay - literally every single person was nothing short of fabulous. We heard “good evening “, “good morning “, “thank you for your business “, “hope you’re having a great stay “, etc multiple times. The breakfast was fantastic - special kudos to Diane who was supporting the area when we were there. She asked us numerous times if we had everything we needed, if there was anything we weren’t able to find and if we were totally finished before she started putting the food away. It was better than service I’ve received at 5-star restaurants!! She seemed to genuinely care about us and our experience. The room was clean and comfortable, but the staff alone is worth returning for! Thanks to everyone - stellar job folks and to the management team who clearly stresses the importance of happy customers to their staff, we were definitely pleased!! "

"Everything was nice, wish the room got a little cooler."

"We stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! Our room was fantastic. The parking was a little goofy and quite expensive for valet ($20 tip) but the valet guys were super friendly and made the process as easy as it could be. Check-in was smooth and also friendly/helpful. Flint gets a bad rap generally but we felt plenty safe in the area. The restaurant food was decent. I hate to say the dinner service was pretty lacking though. Once our order was taken we didn’t see our server again until we had ti flag her down for our check. Unfortunate as we would have ordered another round and maybe desert. All in all we had a great experience and will stay again next time we are in Flint.. P.S. we live only 30 miles away but went to a concert at the Capitol which is a very short walk from the Hilton."

"We stayed for two nights for a softball tournament. Many of the other parents chose to stay at other hotels that cost for 1 night almost what I paid for two nights! The room was newly renovated, you could still smell the new carpet! They were still renovating other rooms but it was blocked off really well and never bothered us as far as noise etc. The outside is sure a little older but the room and common areas were very clean and for the price compared to other hotels in the area, a great deal. The staff was super nice and helpful and the area felt safe and there was enough around as far as dining. The only complaint if I had to have one would be I wish they had queen beds instead of doubles. Of course it says sleeps 4 in the two bed rooms but let’s be real, two adults in a double bed? Not the most ideal for sure! But for two, they were fine. The breakfast is very basic which it says continental on the description, so no false advertising because yes that is what it was for sure! Waffle maker, bagels, toast, coffee and that is pretty much it so if you are looking for a place with a huge breakfast included, this isn’t for you but it worked fine for us."
