"Extremely calm surroundings: we heard bird singing only with our windows opened. Very responsive host: we had a problem with our rental car and got an answer to our message right away. The breakfasts were great: bread, croissants, yaourt , butter, homemade jams, cheese from the area, cake, fruits as well as tea and coffee. the table was prettily set up. Lovely village well situated. All in all we would go back in a second! "

"Just checked out from our stay at this amazing accommodation! Set in a quaint little village, there was some stunning walks nearby perfect for the dogs! The garden is private and there is plenty of space to enjoy a picnic in the garden like we did. Parking on site which was perfect for us! short drive to local amenities such as bakery, chocolatier, supermarket and restaurants! if you are looking for somewhere quiet but beautiful this is the place for you! "We turned up at the hotel for a 3nights extended bank holidays weekend just to find out that the hotel was privatised and fully booked with nowhere to sleep in town or in the neighbouring villages !!! Owner refused to speak to Hotels.com since apparently he has only signed a contract with Expedia (but didn’t acknowledge it was the same company!) and refused to speak English... Hotels.com was not able to sort it out not find anywhere else and we had to drive back home 3hrs in the other direction...

"We spent a wonderful week here this summer with our two young children. The location of the cabin is excellent, with a descent super market in the village, petrol station, golf club and a few bars. There are many beautiful villages within 20 minutes drive with restaurants and bars. 10 mins drive is a lovely lake which we swam in as well as hired a kayak, perfect when the temperature was 30 degrees! Also there’s a climbing/forest activity which we spent the whole day at less than 10 minutes away...

"Nous avons séjourné 2 jours et tout c’est très bien passé . Je n’avais pas bien intégré que le logement était en fait le premier étage de la maison du propriétaire. Mais cette partie est indépendante et bien aménagée. La propriétaire est très attentive, discrète et nous avons pu profiter de la totalité du jardin pendant ce séjour ensoleillé"

"We wanted for nothing in this property, everything was provided. It was in a huge, secluded garden, but the property was separate, and a long way from the main house, so we didn't feel enclosed in any way. We sat/ate outside a lot of the time, and felt that we were a long way from the main house. Samur-en-Auxois was everything we thought it was, and François Meunieur was extremely helpful. 10/10!"
