"The hotel is very nice and staff are friendly. The location has great access to metro line, but it's not the cleanest part of the city which would affect your first impression. But in our next attempts to explore the area we found some nice local shops and restaurants. Overa we had a pleasant experience."

"The staff were great and couldn't do enough for you. Had a little trouble with getting the shower to work and could have done with instructions though should have asked for help really. Otherwise, a comfortable room and nice little in-house restaurant with plenty of alternative hospitality within easy walking distance. "

"Great hotel, within walking distance of Acropolis. Easy walk to hotel from Syngrou-Fix metro station (coming from airport). Room was large, well equipped and very clean. Nice restaurants close to hotel. We were also able to take a bus directly to the cruise port from the hotel. Would definitely stay again! "

"It was incredible staying at Athens Gate...we had breakfast every morning at the rooftop restaurant with a view of the Acropolis... the food was fresh and even dinner at the restaurant at night was incredible. The rooms were always spotless. It was a perfect stay! "

"Located right in Monastiraki square. Rooftop restaurant with amazing Acropolis views. They were a bit stingy with the towels and the reception staff was impersonal. Overall a good experience and worked fine for the purpose of walking to the major attracions."
