"The hotel is very nice and staff are friendly. The location has great access to metro line, but it's not the cleanest part of the city which would affect your first impression. But in our next attempts to explore the area we found some nice local shops and restaurants. Overa we had a pleasant experience."

"The staff were great and couldn't do enough for you. Had a little trouble with getting the shower to work and could have done with instructions though should have asked for help really. Otherwise, a comfortable room and nice little in-house restaurant with plenty of alternative hospitality within easy walking distance. "

"Great hotel, within walking distance of Acropolis. Easy walk to hotel from Syngrou-Fix metro station (coming from airport). Room was large, well equipped and very clean. Nice restaurants close to hotel. We were also able to take a bus directly to the cruise port from the hotel. Would definitely stay again! "

"It was incredible staying at Athens Gate...we had breakfast every morning at the rooftop restaurant with a view of the Acropolis... the food was fresh and even dinner at the restaurant at night was incredible. The rooms were always spotless. It was a perfect stay! "

"Located right in Monastiraki square. Rooftop restaurant with amazing Acropolis views. They were a bit stingy with the towels and the reception staff was impersonal. Overall a good experience and worked fine for the purpose of walking to the major attracions."

"One of our rooms was not made although I verbally asked the cleaning staff and put the “please make my room” card on the door knob. No fresh towels were supplied although I asked for them. It was disappointing. Perhaps, the cleaning staff thought the room was a bit too dirty and didn’t want to bother? I was not happy about it. Otherwise, the front staff are friendly and kind, and the hotel is very conveniently located and has a nice atmosphere. "

"One of the best airport hotels we have stayed at. We had a very early flight, and the hotel is literally across the street. It could not have been easier and closer. The bed was comfortable, dark, and really quiet (which were important characteristics for an airport hotel). The only issue we had was the water temperature in the shower fluctuated a lot — which made it a bit uncomfortable when the water turned cold without warning). "Exceptional hotel in every way. Staff was always helpful and very friendly and professional. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve experienced at a hotel. The dinner at the roof top restaurant was five stars too. Walkable to Acropolis. Highly recommend. "

"Very quaint, very clean place to stay. We were warmly greeted and assisted with our luggage. Within walking distance of many nice restaurants and a hike to Acropolis. Wifi access. We did not need elevator, but stairs only. No USA television, but who needs television in Athens! "
