"We were down in the Algarve's for a while before for a wedding. We stayed here 3 nights and was delighted with our hosts care and service of our stay. They met us and gave us keys on our arrival. The son gave me a few points of interest that we could consider visiting on our stay. He highly recommended a particular location and restaurant that was outstanding and we've ver appreciative of his recommendations. Our hostess spoke French and Portuguese and we only spoke English but we had no issues...

"I have to praise the owner of the house for his kindness and reactivity. The house is very big (much more than the pictures sugggest). That was a very nice surprise for us. The house is very well equipped, all you need for a stay is there. The view in the ocean is nice, the yard is very pleasant, and the trampoline was a great plus for my kids. The location is perfect: 55 mn to lisboa, 45 mn to Nazaré, 10 mn to a free parking beach, 10 mn to supermarkets where you can find all you need. I...

"Lovely house, lagoon area has breeze even at height of summer in August. Good base, Obidos, 20 mins away, is a medieval town with very impressive castle. Beautiful buildings with local artists selling paintings and prints, plenty of good restaurants. Lisbon is an hour away. A car is essential to get around, as the house is situated up a forested hill above lagoon. Excellent walks and runs around the lagoon, which is only 15 mins away by foot. Lots of activities available, we opted for kayaks...

"We were grateful for the signs that marked the actual house and street that it was on. It was not that far or difficult of a drive from Obidos. The inside of the house was beautiful and immaculate. Celeste was very accommodating and friendly. The beds were a bit firm for our older bodies but we would gladly stay there again when visiting Obidos. Great Value."

Initially we had problems connecting with our host as they did not respond to emails or texts until we learned that we needed to use the WhatsApp which is not common in Canada but used throughout Europe. the house was traditional but had modern conveniences which was helpful.
