It's about 5-10 minutes outside of "downtown" Asuncion, but as you'll find, there really isn't much in "downtown" Asuncion. "Pleasant and helpful staff. The room was basic, but had air conditioning, a mini refrigerator and a good supply of hot water for the shower. The hotel is situated walking distance from the tourist spots in Centro: the train station, Cultural Centre, Lopez Palace and Independence House. "Loved the property, a very unique boutique hotel that used to be a factory that shut down about 100 years ago. The new hotel design and decor was very well thought out with attention to details. It’s clean, very comfortable, the room was very large and the staff, each one of them, was extremely cordial and friendly. We actually spent more time in the hotel than we ever would elsewhere, just because the atmosphere and decor are very inviting. Wish we had more time to stay longer. We did end up having dinner at the hotel, the food and service were very good. Breakfast was served and it was delicious and plentiful, one of the better hotel breakfast offerings."
