"I really enjoyed the old Florida vibe here. I was surprised at the ashtrays on the tables outside each room, but we never had a neighbor so smokers weren’t a problem. The bed was great, one of the best I’ve had at a hotel. Being on/ near the lake was great for an evening wind down. There are charcoal grills available in the ‘quad’ area. Also a fire pit, pool, and several outdoor activities. The kitchen was lacking, it had the basics, but barely. If you go and plan to cook at home, pack your own utensils. We had a pot and a pan, 4 each of plates, saucers and silverware. No mixing bowls or serving pieces. I ended up washing all of the kitchenware before use due to a dirty spoon ( see pic). The bathroom is sparse but certainly functional. All and all I would go again, I would pack more for meal plans."

"Such a unique & fun place to stay in the heart of downtown Deland! Took advantage of the bar upstairs on the rooftop as well as in the lounge, it was so fun. Loved that they kept the original stairs in the building & kept all the character throughout. Had a blast, will definitely be coming back!!"
