Great property , located up the hill from the town within easy walking distance . Clean accommodation and a lovely property, ideal for our base for travelling to Bayeux , Caen, etc. Christophe very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Facilities were good and made for for a relaxing evening after a busy exploring day.

The property owner did a good job responding to my queries. Unfortunately, I would have to rate this as a sub-par stay. Not enough towels were available and quality was substandard. Little things like kleenex not provided were bothersome. Possibly some mold present in bathrooms. Glass ware appeared stained and dishes required washing before we felt comfortable using. On the plus side the location was great for what we wanted.

D Day Bond Beach
The town of Arromanches-Les-Bains was amazing. We learned about the history of the town thru locals. Their part in D Day was new to me. It was easy to find the house the Taxi brought us right there. There was a lock box and we had the code so entry was easy. The house was not as clean as what I like. The utensils and coffee maker were not clean but we used them. There were limited towels left and I managed to find additional ones in the basement again they were not that clean. We had a major issue with the power and it was out for the whole day. I had left a text for the Property Manager but did not hear from him. I called when we got back at night and the house was in total darkness and a security alarm was going off. The person that I talked to was unaware of the issue we were having. She spoke English and was major in calling someone who came and reset the fuses and managed after awhile to get the alarm silenced. The one major asset was the ocean view that came with the Cottage and as I already mentioned the town of Arromanches-Les-Bains was amazing and exploring it was an added adventure for our trip.

Great Stay!
This is the second time we've stayed at this property and its been wonderful each time. The house is very clean, spacious and equipped with modern appliances. The views from the house are fantastic, the city of Arromanches and the English Channel to the north and a pasture with grazing cows to the east. We took most of our meals on the picnic table outside the kitchen. All in all it was a wonderful stay and a great jumping off place for visit to the D-Day beaches and Normandy.

Bring your supplies
Bring your own soap, toilet paper or be prepared to buy them at the local market. (Owner made aware and states will be rectified) Walkway to the house was overgrown as shown in photos 25 &27 on listing. Beds we not very comfortable, thin mattress on frame.

Excellent bungalow in Arromanche le Bain
Excellent for a large group particularly the open plan communal area. Bedrooms were good although one lacked a wardrobe. The self contained basement flat was very good but slightly isolating from the rest of the group. The kitchen was very well equipped. Outside facilities were also good but the inclement weather precluded our enjoyment of them.

Great location.
Comfortable and spacious. However, we didn’t realize the basement apartment is totally separated from the upstairs, with no connecting door. To get to it, you have to go outside and down and around to the back side of the house where there is a separate entrance. The TV only had French channels so it had limited utility for us. The location is great with a view of the Med; the town is downhill but it isn’t a bad walk there or back. Lovely little town and great access to the DDay sites.

First time in France
The property was lovely. Nice and clean. Our only complaints are that the basement roomed smelled terribly upon our arrival, but we aired it out and then it was fine. Beds were kind of hard, and only given one towel per person for a 4 night stay, definitely not enough. We never met the property manager, which was no big deal (was told she didn't speak English anyway so not sure how much help that would have been!) Arromanches is a lovely town and we enjoyed our stay!

Nice house for a family trip
The house was beautiful and Arromanches was lovely. Unfortunately the check in process was a bit confusing due to language barrier, as was the issue of whether our group of 7 could have access to the full house. To their credit the manager did their best to make things right. And I had not read the original messages clearly enough regarding the full check in process. All in all the house is very spacious and the kitchen and living room and outdoor table were lovely for spending time together on our family trip. The beds weren’t the most comfortable and the decor could use some updating but definitely a nice beach town house in a very cute town for a Normandy trip.

Our family loved villa-Stella
We are a retired couple traveling with 3 adult sons, their wives and a two year old grand-daughter. She and her parents stayed in the downstairs area and the remaining three couples each had a nice bedroom on the main level. When we weren’t out visiting D-Day sites we loved the patio and extended yard for family time as well as the large sitting and dining area inside. The distance into town was great and we all felt the “trip back up the hill” was good for us!! Added bonuses we enjoyed were plenty of hot water and the cute visiting kitten.

Good stay in Arromanches-les-Bains.
We were 2 couples and the space was perfect for us. We were impressed with the hot water, fast and plentiful. Plenty of dish ware and all necessary appliances. The location is fantastic for visiting the D-day beaches; while we were there, preparations for the 75 th anniversary were under way, and already the area was getting very busy. We would recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay here, would recommend.
Pros: Perfect location for exploring Normandy especially WWII D-D landings, quiet, great views of the countryside, short walk into Arromanches, well equipped kitchen, clean and tidy house, gardens well kept, very friendly cat visits each day. Cons: Security lighting flickers, patio needs some maintenance. Overall: We really enjoyed our stay here, would recommend.

Good, but not perfect. Arromanches-les-Bains is a delightful seaside town, full of history.
As other reviewers have said, I would like to give this a 5* but it does not quite make the grade. We were a family of 5 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby. Firstly, it is not a 4 bed-roomed house, it is a 3 bed-roomed apartment with the option of an additional 1 bed-roomed apartment underneath; they are not connected. If there were a door through from the utility cellar or an attached outside stair case it would be much better. We made do with just the 3 bed rooms as none of our party wanted to have to traipse around the outside of the building to get to the separate accommodation, particularly as there was a break in the previously dry weather. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and had plenty of everything needed, including useful items for the baby and toddler. The decking is in need of repair in a couple of places, we also had to ask for the grass to be cut so we could use the garden, which gave a poor initial impression. Some gates between the grassed area and the parking area would make it safer, and a small gate on the side, so that any inquisitive children cannot get out to the street. Also 500m to the beach is stretching it a bit. It is certainly walking distance but should be noted that it is downhill there and consequently uphill back. Having said all this we had a lovely stay, the weather improved daily so we were able to enjoy the beach, which was our aim. We would recommend this property, certainly as a base for exploring the local area.

We loved it here!
This was a wonderful location for our holiday and we would love to return. We enjoyed being close to the WWII landing beaches and Bayeaux as well as within driving distance to Mont St. Michel. The house is comfortable (it feels like a beach house with tile floors, big screenless windows) and well situated (walking distance to the ocean, stores and restaurants). The kitchen is adequately equipped and we were able to have some meals there. The deck is lovely (as pictured) and the setting feels very tranquil, just on the edge of a small village bordering a field. It was easy to get the keys and leave them. The people we dealt with were professional. Note that the 3rd bath and 4th bedroom are a separate suite on a different floor (this wasn't a problem for us but might be for people with small children). I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because we had a problem with ants in the kitchen (which the owners promptly took care of) and the beds were not terribly comfortable for middle aged backs.

Has a LOT of positives, but needs a little attention
This is one of the tougher reviews I've had to write. This property has a LOT of positives going for it including location, size, very updated and well-equipped kitchen, large public spaces and comfortable beds, good light, a lovely pasture view and partial views of the water. However, there are just a few items we believe the owner needs to address to make for a more comfortable visit for guests. First, the sofa upholstery is worn considerably, which is not true of the other furniture in the unit so it stood out a lot and needs to be replaced. Second, there is no place to hang anything in the second or third bedrooms - no closets, wardrobes or even hooks on the walls, which made use of these bedrooms challenging. Finally, the master bathroom has no ledge or shelf for soap and shampoo, so these items were on the floor of the shower when in use. All of these items could be fixed in a day by the owner and would change my rating from a 4 star to a 5 star rating. If these items were to be fixed by the owner, I would definitely stay here again.
