This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

Reservamos la casa 3 familias y dió la mala suerte de que uno de los adultos de una de las familias se puso enfermo. Contactamos con ellos para ver la viabilidad de posponer la reserva (sabiendo el poco margen de aviso) pero la alternativa ofrecida no dio a mucha opción a cambio. "My wife Jo and I spent a very pleasant ten days at Mas Santol. The gite is very beautiful, in a great location not far from the charming small town of Ceret. We explored the area and also went further afield, to the beach at Le Racoul and into the mountains of Prats-de-Mollo. Martine and Serge were very nice to deal with.
