"If you want seclusion away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Away from the main road, but with access to great lookouts and hiking paths! The property is a bit old but the staff care for it how they can. Expect waning luxury, but clean and livable rooms. It gets cold in the winter so bring some fluffy PJs. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Sometimes the jabalí show up--one was there during dinner. "

"A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The service from staff has been exemplary, with particular regard for David (in the restaurant) and Sequoia (uncertain spelling, on reception). They, and others have been great advisers to first-time visitors. Other staff were excellent in minor interactions. Our only complaint would be about the delay with check-in procedures, but that was soon dismissed by us. We will be back... "Had the most incredible stay at Cabana De Piedra! I stayed recently with my friends for our 30th birthday celebration. It was so perfect. The villa is in the most incredible remote location in the mountains. The views are spectacular and so dreamy! The villa was perfect for a big group, had everything we needed and was spotless. The owner, Miguel, was Very friendly and helped our taxis get to the villa, as well as the chef we had arranged. The villa is remote so you need to bear that in mind when booking anything or if you’re planning on leaving the villa. We stayed at the villa the entire weekend so it wasn’t an issue for us. Taxis managed to get there too, with a bit of guidance. Had an unforgettable weekend and would come back! "

"Villa Amarilla is beautifully presented and caters for all your family needs, from the very young to all ages. Outdoor facilities are perfect for a relaxing holiday, BBQ and Bar area are superb, great pool and the added bonus of a sheltered play area stocked with toys for the kiddies. "It’s been really great stay, me and my family stayed there for 1 week and really enjoyed, I never wanted to leave the house to go and visit city, it was really cosy place, I actually like to relax on my holidays, no A/C but they provide you with fan which does the job… gas stove needs deep clean and it’s burner does not fires up properly and at some points I was scared to even turn them on…pool is kept clean… the only thing I really don’t understand or agree is that they charge you €90 for cleaning, I mean I stayed at many places but never had to pay for cleaning… even though we cleaned the whole house but still was charged… it supposed to be owners responsibility to make sure it’s clean and ready for next client… we could have left everything in mess and leave because they are going to charge us €90 anyways but we didn’t and was still charged… also bare in mind they have two different advertisement on VRBO where one indicates the €90 charge and one doesn’t and we booked it with one that doesn’t but they still charged us… but overall it was good stay… one last thing is it’s almost one hour drive away from Malaga city so plan it accordingly…"

"We loved the villa, the pool, the area and the hosts. The villa is full of character and very well furnished, not the usual ‘cast-offs’ we usually get in properties in this area and price range. The pool was a great size and depth and bug free thanks to the ever active pool bot. Great seating areas inside and outside of the sun and air conditioning in the main lounge area too. Kitchen was well equipped and our hosts said we could help ourselves to the vegetables in the garden. Jose and his family were very kind, helpful and yet discrete. We will be back - if only to idle away another week relaxing in the hammock, watching the eagles fly above our heads and the sun set over the mountains. And one last note - very few wasps!!! "
