"The Sarova Corp and Expedia, Posted that we had to pay $140 US upon arrival by credit card, NOT CASH. At the gate to the Park, we were told that we had to pay $140 per day in cash for our stay at hotel in Park. Including day of our arrival after Park hours! We had no US dollars in cash, so they let us go to hotel to get money. The Shaba lodge had no dollars and could not give cash of any kind for credit card withdraw. "Isiolo is a small town, 40,000 people. There are not a lot of accomodations. One good thing about the hotel is the fact that it has an elevator and limited parking. It is clean. The staff are very friendly, but probably Kenyans are gentle in general. The hot water did not always work. The restaurant offering are limited, even for a small town."
