My one note is that I only realized that we needed to go to Hotel Orientale to pick up the keys because I read it in a review. "Overall the property is good and in nice location. If you just want to have a bed and shower, do your washing this will do nicely. It’s 10 min walk from train station and port. You have three supermarkets, bakery and farmers market within 5-10 min walk. Main Street with local restaurants is also 5 mins away. It can get a bit noisy as the apartment is right next to the street. Convenient self check in and check out. The property was overall clean in strategic places like bathroom and bed, however...

"The staff at this hotel are so nice. The breakfast is really good. My room was comfortable, a little spartan but that was fine. Everything I needed was there. I love the lobby, I don’t know if you’d all it art deco or faded grandeur but I really did like it. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. The sea is 5 minutes walk in one direction, including the ferry terminal. The railway station 10 minutes in the other. I was very comfortable here."

"This hotel was great. It was close to the airport and the boat term8nals for cruise ships. I just want you to he aware that if your hotel orders a taxi, you will get one. Otherwise, you it is Extremely hard to find any taxis. Someone had to call 6 taxi companies before anyone responded and then they still didn't show up. My 80 year old mom and I had to hitch hike from the port."

"The front desk was on the ground floor, as usual in Europe. The lift that I never used was a little bit up the stairs. To get to the 1st floor, I had to climb another circular flight of stairs. The room I had was big enough for myself, with the bathroom having plenty of space. Overall, the fixtures were aged, worn, but clean. The bed was very comfortable, the pillow being a little shallow. I asked for a second pillow and promptly got it. My room overlooked the ferry terminal across the street....

"I love tobacco suites and will stay there every time I'm in southern Italy. The staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms a beautiful and the whole place is just very unique. They don't sell their story enough about it really being converted from an old tobacco factor so it's not just a theme but you have history there too. Highly recommended. My friend had to move to another local spot for few days because this was booked and she missed the fresh breakfast and warmth of the tobacco suites....
