"We were greeted with friendly staff as we walked in the door to check in. They had fresh baked cookies to offer as well as lemon infused ice water available. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast offerings were great. "

"We had a large comfortable room with a very large bathroom with walk in shower. The hotel is across the street from Longwood University and very close to downtown shopping and restaurants. Very nice little Main Street with lovely Christmas decorations. "

"The hotel is newer and feels new; however there were a few surprising things. In my hallway, the wallpaper on the walls was ripped up and the baseboards removed. Probably remodeling being done, but no signs of any workers. Also, I stayed 2 days and my room didn't get cleaned each day. The room was beautifully cleaned upon arrival, but I was surprised my bed was not made or wet towels removed when I came back after a long day. The breakfast was good, the beds slept well, nice large tv's, and nice staff. I would stay here again, but I found some of these things surprising."
