The park is one of the few untouched peat bogs in the Netherlands. You can enjoy cycling in the woods around Appelscha. For example, drive through Dwingelderveld National Park and visit small villages such as Havelte, Diever, Vledder or Dwingeloo. Lake Canada is 6 km from the cottage, where you can take a refreshing dip in the summer. Do you prefer a swimming pool? Then the forest bath in Appelscha is recommended. A day out with the kids?
