"Even though we booked this 9 months in advance there were no rooms ready, not because they were busy they just weren't ready. We had to wait an hour for a room to be cleaned. The showers were freezing. The bathroom grubby. The picture online is nothing like the hotel it must have been taken 20 years ago. The building is old and tired. "I got in late and left fairly early, so didn't spend much time there. My room had a bug issue and didn't smell so fresh. Also didn't have hot water in the morning - but that got fixed after I told the person at breakfast. Simple, and has potential, but could use a little freshening up."

"I really enjoyed my stay at Kutumbaya. The staff were really friendly and helped organise a safari and tour of the ancient ruins for me. The food was great, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfasts. The WiFi and air con were good and I even found some Premiership football on the TV. I’d definitely stay here again!"

"Overall our experience was good. We had a great server named Gihan. I needed a pen to keep score on a game I was playing. The next day when I showed up he came over with a pen.i thought that was thoughtful. Our drinks and food were served quickly. I had no complaints about the staff.
