"Amazing stay at Stella Island would definitely recommend to couples especially honeymooners :) It’s as beautiful as the photos on website and socials. Stunning and the staff are the biggest asset. Food is amazing at all restaurants including the buffets. If I’m being really picky I think the cocktails can be better but if you tell the bartender what you want and how you want it they accokidate. "

"Excellent property, clean, A LOT of food options, drinks, etc. Big, comfortable suites. There are a lot fo activities on site so you never have to leave, but if you do want to explore, Hersonissos port and town are within a short waling distance. The only negatives are that the dining staff sometimes was not very nice and we felt like we inconvenienced them if we came in towards the end of the meal times. Service was slow at times, which is understandable given the huge number of people that were being served at one time. Cleaning staff was top notch, and there were many small touches that added up to a great experience - a letter from the manager upon arrival, wine, fruit and snacks in the room, handwritten notes from evening cleaning staff. All in all, a very nice resort with lots to offer. "

"If you want a 5 star top notch resort away from the bigger city tourist trap, don't think twice and book this hotel. You will not regret your decision. The food is excellent and on par or slightly lower than you would pay in Los Angeles or other large cities. There is a small town Stalis 1.6km or 1 mile away with great bars and restaurants all along the beach with little shops, and markets, which offer a nice change of scenery and break up the routine from the resort a bit to go grab a local greek dinner. The resort staff is very friendly grom check-in to the beach team to the restaurants. This area of Crete is best for folks wanting to relax and stay close to the resort in my opinion as the other main attractions in form of the famous southern island beaches are over 3.5 hours away and the next bigger city Chania is also about 2.5 hours away. For people wanting to go to those cities and places a hotel closer to those spots is better. However, the Abaton is modern and a rare find and in a class of its own and truly makes for a nice relaxing vacation with its own small sand beach, with plenty of sunchairs, the lively Buddah beach bar and huge pool that easily accommodates the people at the hotel with grrat music and the backdrop of ocean waves and wave sounds. Super happy with the hotel and worth every penny. Great and many different room size and layout choices. Book it !!!! "

"The hotel was very clean and well appointed. Freshly stocked mini bar everyday & the staff were very friendly and attentive, always smiling. They gave the impression that they were as happy to be there as us. Very good choice of freshly cooked food in the buffet and the a la carte restaurants were excellent. Clean pool areas and its own private beach with plenty of sunbeds and parasols & that was cleaned each day and that had a lifeguard too."

"Everything was amazing: the quick and friendly check-in, the helpful staff member who escorted us to our room with the luggage, and the room with the hot tub was clean, comfortable, and perfect for large families – probably one of the best family rooms I've stayed in. I was initially concerned about the salty water in the pools, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The check-out process was also quick, and the kind front desk lady was very accommodating with my late check-out request."
