"The hotel is right next to the port and in easy walking distance to the pedestrian zone. Great views from the rooftop restaurant, bar, pool area. One of the most incredible breakfasts ever seen on this planet or any other planet. And like all of Crete, the people working at the hotel are wonderful, kind, friendly and helpful."

"Amazing stay at Stella Island would definitely recommend to couples especially honeymooners :) It’s as beautiful as the photos on website and socials. Stunning and the staff are the biggest asset. Food is amazing at all restaurants including the buffets. If I’m being really picky I think the cocktails can be better but if you tell the bartender what you want and how you want it they accokidate. "

"Hotel and staff were really good, very clean and really good location. Only issue I had was the AC making some noise but that could have been the fan speed. Will definitely stay in this location as well. Parking was also available at the port parking, with a quick walk to the hotel"

"If you want a 5 star top notch resort away from the bigger city tourist trap, don't think twice and book this hotel. You will not regret your decision. The food is excellent and on par or slightly lower than you would pay in Los Angeles or other large cities. There is a small town Stalis 1.6km or 1 mile away with great bars and restaurants all along the beach with little shops, and markets, which offer a nice change of scenery and break up the routine from the resort a bit to go grab a local greek dinner. The resort staff is very friendly grom check-in to the beach team to the restaurants. This area of Crete is best for folks wanting to relax and stay close to the resort in my opinion as the other main attractions in form of the famous southern island beaches are over 3.5 hours away and the next bigger city Chania is also about 2.5 hours away. For people wanting to go to those cities and places a hotel closer to those spots is better. However, the Abaton is modern and a rare find and in a class of its own and truly makes for a nice relaxing vacation with its own small sand beach, with plenty of sunchairs, the lively Buddah beach bar and huge pool that easily accommodates the people at the hotel with grrat music and the backdrop of ocean waves and wave sounds. Super happy with the hotel and worth every penny. Great and many different room size and layout choices. Book it !!!! "
