"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. "The room and bathroom were very nice and clean although the room was quite cold in the evening but nice and warm in the morning, and the bed felt extra cold taking ages to get warm. The bath towels were a bit on the small side and quite discoloured. Lovely building. Didn’t use the grounds. "

"The property is clean, tidy and comfortable. The little communal kitchen area is a very good idea for making food or sitting in while eating a takeaway. There is plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and also a little fridge for storing milk, drinks, food etc. Have stayed before, hence why I returned again. It is convenient for many uses and close to the A1. There are local shops, takeaways and a petrol station all within walking distance. The only negative I had, was that it was too warm. So, I...

"Stayed two nights and it was lovely. Very convenient for food and drink. Didn’t spend that much time there as we were walking part of Hadrians Wall. Would definitely recommend it though. "
