Disappointing Experience with ED Amsterdam
I had high hopes for my stay at the ED Amsterdam, but unfortunately, I was unable to take my trip due to the sudden passing of my father. I had booked a non-refundable room, and while I fully understood the policy, I hoped for some flexibility given the circumstances. I requested to swap my dates to a future time and was open to paying the difference in price, as I understand rates can vary depending on the season.
However, I was deeply disappointed by the hotel’s approach. The additional charge they quoted for the new dates was nearly the same as my initial payment, effectively doubling the cost. To make matters worse, I found that I could book the same dates directly through other websites for less than my original price. It felt as though the hotel was taking advantage of the situation rather than offering reasonable support or understanding.
This experience left a sour taste, and I would be hesitant to book with them again in the future. Compassion and fairness go a long way in building customer trust, and unfortunately, I didn’t feel either in this case.
