Nice boutique hotel in a great area of the city if you want to be close to the train in a nice neighborhood but away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy centrum area and main boulevard. It was our 4th time staying here. The staff is great and knowledgeable, and the decor and rooms are charming, but small, as are the bathrooms. There’s someone at the front desk 24/7 which is a plus. The lobby has a nice sitting area and bar. The 1st and 2nd levels are fairly accessible, but be prepared to climb steep narrow stairways if you’re on the 3rd or 4th level. The staff is ready and waiting to assist with your bags if needed, so not an issue.

No air conditioning and room was hot at night, although 50 degrees outside. Windows open but no airflow. Staff was great and very helpful. We had steep stairs to climb to room, fine for us, but some may find difficult with luggage. I'm sure the staff would assist though. They were very kind.

The property was very close and walkable from the train station. It's about a 20 min. walk to the museums. There were great restaurants in the area. The staff was excellent - young, friendly and spoke perfect English. One thing we didn't consider was how hot our room was. It dropped to the 50s at night, but we had no air circulation with the window open. There was a small fan in the room, but it was loud and rattled. Wish I'd booked a hotel with an air conditioned room in hindsight.

We stayed here our first night in Amsterdam. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were able to freshen up and check our bags before exploring the city. The staff gave us recommendations for restaurants and helped us navigate the train and tram app. Although the room was small, it's exactly what we needed for our stay.

Super friendly staff but note the bar IS the lobby/where you check in! The stairs are steep and scary but it is a super cute hotel with breakfast if you need it and pretty conveniently located!

We had room 406, which had the most beautiful view. I was so thankful for it! Majority of attractions are only a ~30 minute walk, and usually quite a beautiful walk. Nearby to many food options and more!

First the staff were great, friendly and as accommodating as possible. We booked a “Superior” Room for approx. $500 CAD per night. The room was dated, with a very small window that barely opened. A corkscrew really steep stairway downstairs to the bathroom, made night trips dangerous - basically crawled up the stairs. It was warm and humid and this room had no air movement. They provided an old fan that did nothing, on the second night they found a small older fan to add which really didn’t do much. The only way to get the room to a bareable temperature was to open the door to the hallway (which was cooler) block it open with the garbage can and fan sitting on top. Overnight the fans were incredibly noisy and the room was impossible to sleep in for heat. We were there for 3 nights and barely slept, put a real downer on our time in Amsterdam. Absolutely did not meet our expectations and will not be going back.

We had a lovely stay, location is excellent. It’s a modern comfortable hotel. Beautiful view looking over the canal. Staff are very helpful. We didn’t have breakfast but looked nice, coffee was very good. No aircon so we had the window open which was fine. Our only issue was the stairs, as others have mentioned they are extremely steep and our room was on the top floor. It was an ordeal every time we needed to go to the room.
