worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
Stayed 2 nights. Roomed changed 3 times within that time. 1st room - no electricity, curtains hung off rail leaving the room bright. Window could not close & was a rainy day. 2nd room cupboards with no doors - safe did not work - double bed with single duvet . Bags transferred into another room by hotel staff without authorization or consultation with us. Got to room only to find someone else occupying it. Went to reception , staff member very apologetic & put us into a room that had double base with 2 single mattresses on it which meant rolling off the bed every time we turned. Some staff members with real bad attitude.

Great staff, awful conditions... Not a 3star!!!
The staff was the best thing about this hotel... Small rooms, big furniture which makes it hard to move about within the room. Wifi sucks!! Nice bar area but nothing at the bar to purchase, so take your own food, drinks etc.. "If this gets back to the owner which I hope it will, I'm very interested in purchasing this property if it is avalible".... Overall the staff made my stay ok..

Location, Location, Location!
You can't beat the price when considering accommodations and location. The hotel is within walking distance of Vondelpark, Museumplein, and the city Centre. It is only about two city-blocks from the bus line, which comes by just about every five minutes. This is a much more reasonable and private option when compared to area hostels.

Adequate
I arrived early but could not get into my room until about 1 p.m. but they did keep my bags and helped me with directions to nearest restaurants etc. My room was adequate, small, but in Holland most are and I was pleased with the clean bed and clean bathroom, adequate hot water and the heating could be adjusted. Cable tv and I had wifi which reached my room on the second floor. I do not think that wifi can be got on higher floors. Sumptuous plentiful buffet breakfast which was a plus and very welcome and for the money I paid I cannot complain. Also the breakfast is supposed to be served later at the weekend but the person in charge went out of his way to make it earlier the Sunday morning I had to leave early. The overall feel in the elevator and the corridor left much to be desired, as I found the carpets worn and not too recently cleaned. I liked the fact that I could walk to the Van Gogh or Rijksmuseum in the Museum Plein (square), or jump on a 172 tram, nearby and be taken to Central Station where they have the hub of the canal cruises. It is within walking distance of Volond Park. I was happy enough with the attention it was adequate in the Reception.
