"Nice and beautiful hotel"

"We stayed a week at Sophia Luxury Suites and had a wonderful stay. The location is wonderful - IF you understand the fact that there are stairs - and LOTS of them. Dining options close by - they just opened a restaurant right below the room. Understand that in Santorini and these cave rooms - they are located right along public walkways and the windows are open air. There will be people walking by your room at any hour of the day or night - if you understand that and accept it as part of the experience it is no big deal. We stayed right at the shoulder season and everything was just in the process of opening - the staff were still learning and there were a few bumps in the road - wrong deliveries of room service choices - but nothing major and nothing we were concerned about considering the circumstances. When you choose these locations and travel during the off season - then go in with your eyes open and embrace the experience. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would do so again! The staff was pleasant and attentive - and learning! "

The swimming pools were beautifully maintained and added to the overall serene atmosphere. "The resort is very spacious and maintained well by the staff (they clean the common area from time to time). There are many swimming pools but unfortunately still cold for Apr (would be good if have an indoor pool or hot Jacuzzi). The front gate to supermarket is very near but the pavement is still under construction so the walk is a bit horrible as you might walk on the edge of the road and watch out the traffic. There's also a back end of exit which leads to a main road and has a few restaurants as well. I booked the loft style room for family to stay and it is quite spacious for the area. Kids liked the stay"

Overall it’s hard to be a pedestrian in Santorini but they offer a convenient and affordable ride service that you can arrange at the hotel. Our room and view were awesome and the staff kindness and help made it a great stay. "
