"We were in need of a nice, relaxing vacation and that’s exactly what we got. There were four of us (me, my husband, my 16-year-old, and my 11-year-old) and we each had our own space. We loved going down to the dock, and there is also a town beach just down the road. The home is filled with fun antiques and reminds you of a clean, well-kept, and charming grandmother’s house. "We stayed the weekend (visiting our kid, a student at Bard College nearby) and were utterly charmed by this cottage, which has been beautifully designed and maintained. We loved the comfortable window seat, spacious, modern bathroom, updated kitchen, and lovely private dock and seating on the lake. The loft bed was very comfortable (but might be a challenge for those with mobility issues) and we hope to return."

"Our second stay at the Schoolhouse. Perfect layout and setup for us. Light and airy greatroom, Bedrooms on opposite sides of the house offer privacy for us and our guest. As the weather gets cooler, would be nice to have a working fireplace, otherwise a terrific stay. Pictures on the website do it justice. A little off the beaten path, but only 5 minutes to town. We'll be back next year!"
