"Residenza Pansa was in a convenient location, but was hard to find; google maps has a hard time with steps and alley-ways that are prevalent in Amalfi. It would be helpful if walking directions were provided for guests to assist in finding the hotel from the ferry/bus area. The room and staff were great and the small out-door terrace was nice too. The down-side of this property is that it is located right above the main road in town, so it is quite noisy."

"Fabulous location to get to ferries, buses and restaurants but should be aware that there are 97 steps to climb to get to the accommodation. The host Andrea was very helpful and helped carry our bags up and down. Car parking was very expensive at euro35 per night."

"The hotel is nice, but if you want to sleep, it's impossible. The loudness from the square grows even louder between 11pm to 1am. Someone was even weed-whacking at 3am. If you like to party and stay up until early morning, it is perfect for you. But as ladies aged 30-40, it was not for us. As for location, it is wonderful! "

"ONLY WAY to access this property is either climb down 300 stairs or climb up 700 stairs. Breakfast was basic, there was no food at this place for whole day apart from breakfast. View is nice but living area is not properly maintianed. Staff barely spoke any English apart from one lady who is there only for check-ins.Overall too expensive for what was offered."
