"Some things to consider: Bed cubicles are cozy and private. Building is quiet. Only one bathroom (one shower, one toilet, two sinks) for men. Double that for women, as they are allowed to use the "men" bathroom also. Staff did not speak much English. About 15 minutes walk to Hakata, the closest subway/train station. Payment at the hostel is cash only. Check in required before 8 pm without previous arrangement for late arrival."

"The hostel is clean and well maintained. 15 minutes on foot of Hakata station. There are a lot of little restaurants near. The staff is very helpful. The only thing missing for this to be perfect would be a little shared kitchen. "

"The space is pretty small for 6-people room, way more smaller. It is like the smaller version of college dormitory. But it's sufficient if you're not in a hurry. Plus, its location is very close to Tenjin station. And considering the price, it's decent enough. The owner/staff (I've only seen one, not sure) of the hotel is responsive and nice. Overall, happy face! :)"

"I wouldn't recommend this hostel, even though it's very new and in very clean conditions. I visited Fukuoaka during the corona virus outbreak, and as a person with Asian/Chinese descent I feel like the check-in staff were extremely unfriendly to me. Further, I was booked into the shared dormitory, which I would strongly suggest avoiding because there's around 18 people couped into one room. "If you want to have a bad hostel experience, this is it. They are currently under renovation so fascilities could improve. Staff was very friendly but apart from that the sheets smelled like body odor and sweat! I dont think they change the sheets! "It’s close to Higashi-hie station, suitable for those who need to get to the airport in the early morning. The facilities is ok. The staff I met is great. The only problem is I was not able to get any sleep there since everything was too loud: the beeping sound when opening the door, the room was too close to the shower room, toilet and the entrance so I heard every footsteps. But it’s cheap. So this is not the complaint, I just share what I’ve experienced."

"The apartment is well located and vonvenient - it's a 8 minute walk to the Hakata Station. It is true to description but well equipped especially thd kitchen. "We loved it when we stayed here. 10 mins drive to airport and 10 mins drive to canal city. There’s a lot of parking spots. The room is spacious, clean and a lot of beds! We’ll definitely book again"

Comfortable and Convenient

"Mitsui Garden hotels always provide a great experience, and the one I stayed at in Hakata was no exception. The hotel features a well-maintained hot bath on the top floor, which was a wonderful bonus. The room was spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. They also provided a nice bottle of water every day, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast here is quite popular, so I recommend booking it when you make your reservation rather than waiting until check-in, as it often shows as fully booked. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to try it, but we did have dinner at the hotel, and it was delicious! I’d love to try the breakfast next time. There’s also a highly-rated café nearby that’s worth visiting, and a convenience store right across the street. The large shopping center is only a 5-minute walk away, with many famous attractions within walking distance. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, convenience, and excellent service."

"This was a great place to be centrally located for a family trip in Kyushu province. I would happily go back. The hotel is right next to Canal City Mall which is full of great shops and restaurants. Across the street on the other side is the food stalls and night food scene of Fukuoka. It's clean and the hotel staff are kind and very helpful. Overall, it made for a great vacation. "

"Booked this specifically for location and the in suite washing machine. Hotel was only 5-10 min from Hakata Station and room was clean. I liked that it had a smart tv so I could use my own Netflix and YouTube. Because it’s next to the train tracks you can hear the trains through the windows, so don’t choose this if you’re a light sleeper. Or just get earplugs! Overall good choice if you’re needing the washing machine!"

"Great location! The washer/dryer in the room was a great bonus . Breakfast was decent and convenient. Staff were friendly. We are low-maintenance and enjoy our peace and quiet; this hotel worked out nicely for us, and we had a wonderful stay. We definitely would stay again."
