"Lovely quiet spot away from the crowds in Yufuin, excellent food and fantastic service. The hotel is older but has been maintained. The rooms are simple but clean, large and comfortable. As all rooms in Japan there is limited places to put suitcases and unpack fully. Lobby and restaurant are beautiful and very modern. Highly recommended. "

The most amazing thing was definitely the food, was by far the best I’ve had in Yufuin after traveling here for more than 10 years. There were onsen inside your room, two infact, one indoor and one outdoor. Note there are no public bath "

"I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. The staff was very informative and accommodating to my needs while speaking english. I felt right at home. The free hot chocolate was delicious which I sipped graciously in the living room after a hot soak in the private onsen. I had such a relaxing experience. I am looking forward to visiting Yufuin again and returning to this hotel! "
