"Located right in the center of Alvor, very close to restaurants and shops. The downside is that there is a huge construction site neighbouring the house. Lots of noise. Instructions to get into the house was unclear, the key was missing from the key chain. We waited more than 30 min to get in. There were 4 doors and none of the keys worked. We had the main floor. "The property was lovely, cozy, very clean and comfortable and Christine a charming and informative host. We were close to a little family neighborhood market, with cafés, bars and shopping just a few minutes away. The beach was a nice walk and the boardwalk amazing. "We’ve travelled to Alvor many times and this house was a perfect base. The beach, harbour, town centre and bus station are all within easy walking distance. "We have been going to Alvor for 9 years each summer and always visited the shop downstairs from the apartment - I didn’t realise the apartment even existed until now - it is presented to an excellent standard, has everything you need and even has a balcony with a view to the harbour. Decent size space, though lacking kitchen cleaning supplies (only a hand towel provided). Indoor pool and sauna, and a small laundry room made this experience even more enjoyable. Would stay again!"
