"When we arrived at the lodge we were supposed to be staying in there was another family there who said the lodge they were supposed to be staying in was occupied so they were given this lodge. We rang the contact number and he apologised, we were provided the key code for another lodge and when i opened the door that was occupied as there was a dog in there. "We received no communication from the owner of how to access the property. We were standing outside and had to contact VRBO support. The house is in an awful area, the garden hasn't been mown in years and there is trash around the property. We were only provided with two towels for a family and they said that was all we needed. I will never use VRBO again as they don't care about their customers experience."

"A very pleasant stay in a beautiful area. A good location for walks in the south of the peak district, particularly up to Hen's Cloud and the Roaches, Gradbach Mill and Lud's Church, and a little further away Miller's Dale & Chee Dale gorge. Nice to have a welcoming couple of slices of homemade cake and a jug of fresh milk on arrival. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed.
