"The property was clean and cozy, exactly as advertized. The owner does have a place onsite, as stated in the listing. They were not there while we were, but had they been, it may have been a bit too close. Again, its listed as such and the pictures are acurate. I suppose I let my imagination assume it was a bit further away. Regardless, the pripert was great and the accommodations were clean, cozy, and exceeded expectations."

"Really like the concept of having standalone rooms(every two rooms share one building). There was a gentleman staying in the room next to me and I never heard him all night. There was a picnic table next to each building as well. These rooms are clean, but dated. Perfect spot for passing through. Comfortable beds, only an hour ride to Big Bend National Park the next morning. "

"It is everything I read in previous reviews and more. Ross was the most amazing host. We saw deer, chipmunks, jackrabbits and a coyote at the property. We climbed the local mountain out back every morning and drank in the sunset every evening. High-clearance vehicle is a must to get up the trail to the cabin but easily manageable in our front-wheel drive SUV. I don't want to spoil any more. If you are going to spend some time in and around Big Bend and don't want to slum it out in Terlingua surrounded by tourist traps, then you have found your destination. We can't wait to head back. (And somehow the drive from Dallas wasn't bad at all -- even with my in-laws and a 5 and 7 year old!)"
