The perfect getaway with an all direct access to a sandy walk out beach, on the Long Lake Sandies. The open floor plan downstairs includes a queen bedroom right off of the dining area, next to a full downstairs bathroom, and a second bedroom which features two twin beds. Also located downstairs is your main living area featuring a large dining table(seats 6), an open kitchen with an island and bar for extra seating, large open living room with an amazing view of the deck and Beautiful Long Lake!
Up the stairs, straight out the sliding door is the beautiful top deck to view all the lake activities. Upon being upstairs you will find a bonus bunk room which features two full-size beds and two XL Twin beds (perfect for book reading), and a master suite with a king size bed and a large walk in closet with 2 extra rollaway beds, and a full size bathroom. This lake front property is in the perfect location to watch the sun set after a full day of play! Once that sun is down unwind with s'mores at the fire pit.

Only 8 miles from downtown Alpena, which includes lots of shopping. & restaurants. Located right on U.S 23 N for easy access. Arzo's Amusement Park is only 3.5 miles from the cottage which includes mini golf, driving range, bumper cars, go karts AND MUCH MORE!! Rockport State Park is only 4 miles from the cottage and that has many hiking trails, and a boat launch into Lake Huron, with parking. The cottage has many family bars and restaurants around it on the lake. Hide-a-way Bar and Grill and Long Lake Supermarket, which serves pizza are within minutes. Sand Bar and Grill serves a full menu, and has a boat launch and parking for vehicles and boats that are pulling up to eat. After you launch stop on over at the famous Long Lake Sandies and relax in the warm, shallow water. Once the sun is setting dock your boat at the cottage's private dock! Close to hiking trails, lighthouse tours , glass bottom boat rides , beautiful Lake Huron for rock fossil hunting fishing, ice fishing, snow shoe trails, cross country skiing, outdoor adventure available in all 4 seasons !
We provide complete bedding assemble , bath towels , hand towel , wash clothes, beach towels, kitchen towels, pots pans, dishes and enough essentials to get you started .

Fun annual family vaca week memories!
House was great for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. Long Lake is always our first choice and this property’s sandy Lake-bottom and very gradual way it gets deeper makes it safe and fun. We lucked out with the weather, which always helps.

We went here for our annual family vacation and it was wonderful. Hosts went above and beyond with amenities and communication with me. We have children ages 10 month to 12 yr and all were able to enjoy the swimming and playing without ever leaving the house. Would highly recommend this home for families with young children.

Beautiful place, beautiful area on the beach. Upon arriving the whole building was over run by spiders inside and out. Other than that the place was excellent.

Perfect lake house
We really enjoyed this lake house! There was plenty of room for our family of 4 and the lake was just a few steps off the back deck. We were able to dock the boat right at the property and our dog loved jumping off the dock to catch balls, swim and play in the sand. It’s a newly listed property and we had a couple of things that we needed after check in, but Annetta was great to communicate with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

Great for littles!
We visited long lake with my husbands family. We had 4 children 5 and under. It was absolutely perfect for them. The water was nice and shallow, and they loved the little slide. The property was clean and comfortable. It did get a little hot one of the nights we were there, but Annetta came installed AC in the kids room. We were very thankful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Large home with lake frontage and dock. Kids had fun swimming and fishing. Weather wasn’t the greatest but nothing you can do about that. A lot of work for only four days, recommend a weeks stay if available. Host was kind and prompt to answer texts. There were no problems.

The house and location were great and met our needs well. The host was quick to answer the phone and took care of most requests quickly. The only thing that could have been improved was there wasn't enough garbage bags, kleenex and toilet paper for the number of people who were staying here. But except for that it was a great stay. Great Place
The property is perfect for families to have fun. The communication with the owner was excellent. We enjoyed seeing the stars shining bright and smores around fire pit. The communication with the owner was excellent. There was a issue with the heat and the owner showed up 10min after I emailed her with a repairman. Rockport State Recreation Park is 15mins from the house. My family found some fossils at the park which was pretty cool.

June 2022 Family Vacation
We came up north with our daughters and their husbands and another couple friend of ours and our greyhounds. It was large enough to handle us all and really nice. The owners responded very quickly to our needs and was extremely friendly and easy to deal with. We rented a pontoon for the week and enjoyed that even though we had weird weather our last two days- like 40 mile per hour winds and very rough waters. The marina people were nice enough to come drive the boat back to their place since the lake was certainly a challenge. All and all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.

My family had a wonderful stay at this property on beautiful Long Lake. We had a small hiccup with the electronic lock box not working upon check in, but the owners were quick to respond and get it resolved. The home is slightly dated, but it has what you need for a comfortable stay with plenty of room for a large family. We loved the sandy, shallow lake frontage that was perfect for our little kids to enjoy the water, and great for mooring our boat. The only small suggestion we would make is to have a grill available onsite for renters. Overall, we really enjoyed our week and would definitely consider returning for a future stay.

Great for summer
I would love to come back in the summer. It is right on the water and downtown Alpena seems like it has cute shops in the summer. Just be prepared to bring every spice, oil, and leftover containers yoi need. We stayed on one coldest weekends to attend a fishing tournament. The kitchen and living area was always freezings. While the bedrooms got so hot, we were sweating. The host was amazing though. Quick to respond and very kind.
