"Central Hotel is a good basic hotel choice for Okayama. It’s clean, quiet with a friendly front desk staff who have good basic English and were very polite and helpful when asked. The location is about 15-20 minutes from the rail station and 6-8 minutes from a large shopping mall, grocery store, good food court with many options."

"If you paid to stay at this hotel, you have already paid too much. The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff, they were friendly and polite. As for the building, to call this hotel "dated" is an understatement as it is right out of the 1960s. The room was hot and the AC was not working properly. We opened the windows to cool off, but the area around the hotel was not great. It was noisy and smelled like diesel. The room had a lot of dust and the carpets were dirty. I would not...

"This was, arguably, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Although one of the staff who spoke English was friendly and helpful, the place is a complete dump. Dust and hair all over the carpet, stains on the walls but the worst was the bed ... the mattress felt broken and I could not stop itching and scratching all night. "This was a great hotel.. one of the biggest rooms on our 4 week trip...but...it was advertised as a adults only...now in Australia that means no kids...but here Japan it means a LOVE HOTEL. It was a bit of a shock but it really didnt spoil our stay...we didnt see or hear anything remotely seedy and the staff were wonderful"

"The hotel is located on a mountain close to the center of town. It was very easy to go to the castle and garden by car. The breakfast was awesome and the room was very large and spacious. The view from our room was amazing, looking out over the city. "

"last minute booking… what a surprise! Beautiful hotel and location, excellent service. Some of the hotel is a bit dated but was nostalgic for me. Kinda like Hawaii 5-0 old series feel. The view was incredible!!!! Will be back when the wisteria is in bloom across the street as well as to enjoy the beach! "

"Price is very good. Staff helps us to call taxi. Free soft drink at lobby. At this price range, this is the cleanest hotel i have ever seen. Bed and pillow is comfortable. The air condition (heater) functions well. Room temperature boosts up immediately. Toilet, shower, and water tap are all isolated, will be ideal for 2 people to share the room."

"It's a pretty new hotel, right next to the JR Clement Hotel (Clement and Clement Inn are two different hotel buildings). Ita narrow shape is very recognizable once you stepped out of theTakamatsu Station. There are some shopping and food options right at the station, plus there are plenty of eateries and restaurants around the area. There is a 7-Eleven at the ground floor. A short 10-15 min walk or a couple of bus stations away you will find a few shopping streets and they are all in pretty good shape with some nice stores. One side of the hotel has ocean/port view by the way."
