"I chose this location because it was close to where I needed to be. This is an apartment converted into a B&B. It’s great inside but the surrounding residential area has little to offer. It works best if you’re driving through and need a place to stay (and park). To its credit once inside it very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. The rating badges are prominently on display. "Ideal location outside the city centre with excellent transport links into Bologna and beyond; we did day trips to Rimini, San Marino and Venice with this hotel as a base covering Bologna in the evening. "It was a fantastic place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it and undoubtedly we will return if we visit Bologna again. The only reason I didn’t give it 5stars is because the shower didn’t have sufficient hot water one morning. Often, this would bother me more but because everything else was SO good, it paled into insignificance!! The staff were also particularly accommodating and hospitable. Many thanks!"

"We had a very pleasant stay at Il Convento dei Fiori di Seta in Bologna. Staff was very kind and eager to help, our room was clean and large, breakfast standed out in our travels, with best and wide buffet and best service. The only potential issue was the hotel location, which is about 20 minutes from the city center. but that was not a problem for us."

"Everything was excellent. Really good communication before arrival with video's of how to get in and where to go. Location is perfect for exploring all the wonderful city of Bologna has to offer, literally in the main square. Windows didn't let any street noise in and room was clean and very big. "This was definitely a unique property. It is in a very old building, located right in the piazza, with lots of dining options. We stayed in the Triple Room, on the top floor. "The facility service was impeccable. They seamlessly arranged transportation to a hidden gem restaurant in San Giovanni, Osteria del Mirasole, and facilitated my transfer to the airport. However, the cleanliness of the washroom could use some improvement. Overall, my stay was peaceful and comfortable."

"The hotel is located in the absolute best location! The room was very comfortable but there is no cleaning service (new towels) unless you ask in advance. There is also no shampoo and conditioner; just the body wash, and no body lotion. This seems to be the new normal in Italian hotels unless they are 5 star. Not really an issue though because there is a Coop store directly next door. We would definitely stay there again. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great."
