Perfect if you are going to Rethymno for the beach and water sports; we were there for a wedding, and all of our friends were staying in old town, so it felt far away from nightlife, etc, but we never had a problem finding a cab to and from - there is a taxi stand right at the end of the street from the apartment. "At the price this place is a bargain. Stellios (the landlord) is friendly and helpful. Replacing the dining table with a smaller one placed under the window and an additional easy chair would improve the usability but it is an ideal pied a terre for exploring the area. A car is advisable and you really need to like cats, one of Stellios' made a determined effort to move in with us."
