"We stayed in late Oct 2024. Cabin is older, but very clean. Was a bit chilly in the main room in the evenings (temps in low to mid 40’s); the heaters seemed to have some trouble keeping up. There is a wood burning fireplace in the main room which would have helped, I’m sure, but we were just there in the evenings and didn’t go to the trouble to build a fire. "Very beautiful setting, clean home with comfy beds. The code provided in email didn't work for the door when we got there, but there was a number to call and I was able to get a working code right away. I extended my stay and overall thought their team was very easy to contact and coordinate with through the VRBO app, as well. That was much appreciated. Would stay again!"

"The Idlewild cabin is a perfect and well stocked cabin for an Ice Fishing Trip to the Little Sturgeon Bay area. The game room was a nice added bonus to the weekend. The shuffle board table is in good condition. The pool table just needs a new cue ball. Otherwise the cabin was comfy and the perfect location to the area. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the access to the shoreline. We had an issue with the septic alarm going off and had to call the property manager. He answered right away and told us how to silence the alarm. We appreciated the quick response. My only suggestion would be updating the oven. We would definitely stay here again. "

"The house was perfect for our family. Everyone was able to have their own room and bed. Plenty of room to eat. Liked how it was so open - between the living room, kitchen and dining room area. Having the backyard fenced in was nice to have with 2 little ones. The house was stocked with everything that we needed. The downside to the house rental was the flies. There were flies everywhere so when we were cooking, or eating, and they were flying all around, it was kind of gross. "

"Location to get around Door County is great. We hiked at several of the main parks around Door County, two of them walking distance from this cabin - Whitefish Dunes State Park and Cave Point Park (which was our favorite). Beautiful sunrises. Great beach - feels like you are at the ocean. The place itself is small and rustic. It’s definitely showing its age, but it had all the amenities you needed (and a lot of great memories for the family). Hiost was great too. We enjoyed our weekend...

"The house with a separate bunk area and game room was perfect for our 16 year son and his friend. When they weren’t hanging out inside, they were kayaking, biking and fishing (all equipment was part of the stay). At night we enjoyed and outdoor fire pit and sitting in front of the fire in the living room watching Netflix.The location, the accommodations, activities, the management company - five stars all around!"

"I first want to say that, overall, this was exactly what wife my and I needed and expected. that being said, this is obviously a 1950's-ish lakeside house. The host has done a lot of good work in doing some updates, but...if you are looking for pure luxury and space...this isn't for you. Then again, if you are renting this for that...you're missing out...because the highlights are the very secluded, private location and the spectacular view. We would definitely stay here again!"
