"I had an amazing stay! The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the two toucans that visited us in the morning. They were flying around, perching on the trees, and watching us while we relaxed on the terrace. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! "

"This newly built property is beautiful and Aaron was a fantastic host, who knows all the great people & places to go in the area. WILDLIFE EVERYWHERE! I loved the sound of the river & birds in the morning with my coffee :-) The pool/property was amazing - snuggled in the middle of the jungle (rugged & authentic Costa Rica) I highly recommend this property & we will be back soon! We are rebooking for next year already...."

"The place was a bit unclean. There was an infestation of bats near our room somewhere in the ceiling. They also need to exterminate. Lots of cockroaches. The air conditioning was good, but no blankets just a sheet."

"We loved our stay here. Pool was great. Pool house had everything we needed. The views were incredible. Pretty easy to get into town. 4x4 is definitely a must to access the house. Check in and out was easy. Felt very safe. Amazing sunsets (short drive up the road). Would love to return here someday!"

"We loved our stay at the Shelter from the Storm Villas. Pascal and Ginny were lovely hosts and we could not have asked for a more beautiful place to start our Costa Rica vacation. "The property consists of approximately 10 individually designed villas. So, I can only comment on our villa. Almost new, could do with wardrobes or at least more shelving. Access road is 6km along a very uneven dirt track, steep in parts. Managed with a smallish 4x2 SUV, but you would def be better off with a 4x4. Beautiful views, birds and the sunsets were gorgeous."
