"Just returned from an amazing weekend staying at the Ria Formosa. A short walk from the airport, ideal if you’re travelling light. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the Royal room, it went well above our expectations and the hot tub was lovely and clean. "Nice place to stay when in Albufeira. Within walking distance to the beautiful beach Sao Rafael. Great service, quiet, secure, feels like home. Good dining options nearby. Would definitely recommend."

"We were delighted with the location of the hotel to explore Faro and we loved the quirkiness of it all. We were off season so didn’t expect to use the pool and outside areas. They were a bit run down looking with some broken sunbeds and torn curtains but hopefully that was being addressed by the owners as they renovated for the start of the new season. We had an amazing evening meal on our second evening which was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed our stay"

"Room is small but it did the job, bed sheets not the most comfortable but mattress good, shower nice and very clean. Faro is small so it’s within 5 minutes to everything. WiFi and tea available for free. Staff were lovely, when we got locked out at 2am she came with no complaint to come and let us in. "

"Basic accommodation. Needs a mirror in the room, a little more heating in the rooms during the winter months, terrace wasn't as beautiful as what it shows in the photo. Beds were so comfy and cosy!"

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a room for three which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent, each member was friendly and ensured that our needs were met. Parking was on the street, it was free and within close proximity to the guest house. I definitely recommend a stay."

"What an amazing place Vila Milreau is. Spotlessly clean, great, quiet pool area and really friendly owners. There’s a good little supermarket across the road, three really excellent, inexpensive restaurants and a small bar which can be found if you turn right at the church. If you need to get about Ubers are readily available and super cheap. We’ll definitely be back!"

"This is not a hotel. The description on Expedia was very misleading. When we booked a deluxe room we thought it was a hotel but in actual fact it was a room in a shared apartment wihin a very private residential block. We arrived late evening and spent a few hours trying to locate the property as no directions had been given Several very kind locals tried to help us and we kept coming back to the door of what looked like a residential aparment with zero signage. "Great location, bit of a walk but very much worth it. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff couldn’t do enough to help. Property was a little tired in places but it just added to its rustic charm. Would recommend and defo visit again x"

"We had a very difficult check in. There was no one there, the phone number didn’t work. Finally one of the other guest said to just check the room doors and see which one was open and we found an open room with the key inside after waiting for about an hour."

"Was looking for good resorts near al bufeira but didn’t want to spend too much money on cause I didn’t had much time to enjoy resort but area, when I found this hotel which offers 2 bed rooms suite with unbelievable price tag immediately I booked. It worked out very well checked in mid night didn’t took long when we get to our villa it was three bedrooms which was too big for us, with kitchen and stuff free water bottles and some fruits which was nice, huge resort they do offer buffet breakfast I think 20euro pp. didn’t get much time to enjoy resort as we had only two nights stay but if I m back in beautiful faro then def gonna stay here beach front was good free parking indoor outdoor. "

"We enjoyed our stay and would consider returning. Positives: good location, great spacious rooms in the sea view suite, fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shuttle runs to town free of charge. Only negatives are: Not all-inclusive, only small selection of standard drinks and 2/3 cocktails. Paid entry into a small indoor pool, 4 person hot tub and sauna facilities. Gym is tiny but modern, fits about 2/3 people. A little smell in the rooms we believe from drains, although other than that super clean and smells lovely in hallways. Relatively expensive massages for what you get."
