Restaurants and shops in Atenas are just minutes away. Views from the property are lovely, and we even saw toucans in the trees. Highly recommended!"

"This property was built exactly as the pictures show. You can hear the ocean waves with the doors and windows closed. There is an A/C wall unit in each room and not in the open living space. The breeze blows through the house well with the windows open. This is how it was when I arrived. The waves and breeze, just beautiful. There is obvious natural wear and tear inside and outside of the property that is not shown in the pictures; loungers in the pool missing paint, rusting on metals inside due...

"Casa de las Aves is a fabulous property. The views of the mountains are exceptional and the birds, butterflies, iguanas and bugs will keep you occupied the entire time. We were treated to a rare visit by Scarlet Macaws! It’s a short trip into town but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere - in a good way. Klaas and Sandra, the property managers, were fabulous! They took care of all details, from stocking groceries to arranging transportation. All in all, a fantastic experience."
