"would have given this a 5 but it bugs me that a 4 Star hotel should at least provide tea / Coffee making facilities in the room and tissues in the bathroom. A bit of a false economy!"

"If our room in this hotel is typical then they are in urgent need of attention. The bed was as hard as rock, half the motorised window blinds did not work (one was also ripped and another had hanging cables where the motor had been removed), the outer light-proof shutters were held open by wooden wedges. On the plus side the bar/restaurant is reasonably welcoming and the food was good."

"Overall a great stay. Shower head was hand held only as the holder for broken and pillows were hard and 4 feet long…oddly uncomfortable to sleep with. Get the breakfast buffet…well worth it. "

"A beautiful property in the middle of nowhere! It was so relaxing and quiet and having the pool was great! The restaurant wasn't open but they made us a 3 course meal on our 1st night as well as hiving us some recommendations for local restaurants. The staff are there/around but not in your face and the breakfast was lovely - a croissant, fruit, juice and your choice of a breakfast sandwich! Just enough. "

"Con ma comodidad de estar como en casa. Tiene de todo. La bañera hidromasaje en la habitación es una pasada y las vistas inmejorables! Se ve todo Alcalá del Júcar con el rio a su alrededor, y está solo a unos 9 minutos de allí. Sitio muy tranquilo. Lo recomiendo!"

"Very quiet country retreat that is 4.5kms from a made up road,about 7kms from the nearest town which takes about 25 minutes to drive because of the rough track from the Finca. When requesting the evening meal we were told in summer only a cold meal was served ,which consisted of good quality cold meats,sausage,cheese and bread with wine and water. There was only a verbal menu. The cost of the meal was between 50 to 60 € for two persons which I thought was a bit excessive but should have asked...

"Stopped for one night while driving across Spain. On a small side street off main road through town. A surprising gem ,clean modern hotel, good value, an excellent selection of gourmet tapas in restaurant. Dont be put off by location. Room small for couple but fine for single traveller. "

"The house was more spartan than I expected from the write-up, almost like camping, but I'm a hiker, so I loved the remote area and I adapt well to whatever circumstances come my way. The owner was helpful. The house needs work on the shower and the kitchen needs to be better equipped especially if there were to be four people occupying the house, which would literally make for a very 'full cabin' - all four would have to sleep together in the loft. "These apartments are located in a very small agricultural town so not loads of shopping. There are several small restaurants within walking distance of the apartments. We also happened to be in town for a local religious festival/ceremony, so very pleased about that. The negative is that we had no Wi-Fi in the room (we checked several other units and none of them had Wi-Fi either). Also, no coffee maker in the apartment. The breakfast was very good and the hotel employees (in fact, everyone in town) were very friendly, even though I am not a Spanish speaker and almost no one spoke English. I would rate this stay a very good."
