"It’s a decent airport stop…. Clean and with enough amenities before a flight. This mornings bag breakfast is the only negative I have and that’s because it had a fully rotten apple in my bag. Like push your finger into it rotten. So I don’t know if they pack the bags way in advance?? Otherwise a good stop."

"Great choice for a one night stay before/after flight! It does feel a bit outdated, but everything still looked nice and clean. I got my hopes up reading about the coffee trail, thinking it was a longer trail, but it is very short. It is definitely still worth experiencing, but keep in mind it only takes about 10minutes to get though. We had dinner out instead of trying to the restaurant, so I cannot comment on that. We also did not have AC in our room. It was fine, but I didn’t realize...

"So I got two voicemails from Expedia before the reservation saying the hotel was closed . I called Expedia talked to an agent that then said no it’s open and the reservation is good. My son and I drove there got to the gate which was closed and there was no one to be found. No Expedia is not even refunding me . Not only should you not book this hotel but you should not book anything through Expedia . "

"I left 5 minutes after I got there and went to another hotel. The bathroom was not cleaned and I saw mice. The place is run Down and dirty. The owner was nice however did not give me my money back. At the next hotel , Hotel Riviera,I paid $10 more and it was amazing."

"The owner, Gaucho (I believe) was helpful and friendly. He offered me some of his homemade dinner and set me up with a taxi early in the morning to catch my flight the next day. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from downtown Alajuela. The house is modern and has his modern Art throughout the home. The upstairs rooftop balcony is a treat and offers great views. Very hospitable experience which I enjoyed and would love coming back again."
