"l’ours Brun is a great chalet in a great location literally a stones throw from 2 lifts. The kitchen was new and really well equipped. Great dining table that can comfortably seat 16. Living area is spacious and comfortable. There is a large wraparound balcony that is a great sun trap in the afternoon. 4 main bedrooms are small but comfortable - 2 en suite and a separate shower room for the other 2. "We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). "The whole place needs massive renovations and did not jusify paying over 3100 euros for a 1 bedroom apartment. Considering the week after (we went on UK half term) the price drops to a third of a price, I would consider it a total rip off and taking customers for a ride. The owners admitted they are going through a 4 Million euro renovation project next summer which goes to show the state Alpina property. Don't go there until it is renovated in 2026. "
