"Really comfy place. Room was spot on. When the gentleman showed me the room. He noticed a mark on the duvet. (It was nothing really). It looked like they’d maybe rested the vacuum on the bed & it had left a bit of dirt. The gentleman changed the duvet cover there & then. I ordered my breakfast & unfortunately I slept in. When I left I apologised & they couldn’t have been nicer about it. Spot on place , would stay again."

"A lovely stay at the Royal Oak for one night. Very friendly and attentive staff. They were more than happy to arrange late access to the property due to us having to return to the room late at night. Breakfast was excellent, with options for full English or kippers, plus plenty of toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt. The car park is very small, and can't accommodate all vehicles, however there is ample parking on the road at the front of the property. The room was comfortable with clean linens....

"We stayed with our young son for 3 nights in July 2024. The staff were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful with everything we needed and great with interacting with our young son. The food - breakfast and dinner - is truly incredible with nothing too much trouble.
