"Had to very comfortable nights at the Dar D'Or. We visited at a cold time of year but the room was nice and warm. The Dar is beautifully furnished and the staff were very helpful."

"The hotel and staff were really nice. The staff were very helpful to me and printed my boarding pass. I cant recommend them enough i felt so welcome. The actual hotel is beautiful inside. There is a view from the rooftop which gets the sun. The view faces east away from the main city but is pretty enough. The only downside is its quite hard to find and the medina felt a little unsafe for foreigner travelling alone. I think if I was with a friend this might not have been an issue so much. I don't want to put people off too much as it was a very nice hotel and good price. Just be aware of the area, the medina of Fez is very authentic but it has downsides."

"Amazing place to stay. Wonderful staff and a beautiful Riad. Hotel staff set us up with a fantastic tour guide for a very good price. They also had great restaurant recommendations. Riad Mazar made our stay in Fes the highlight of our trip."

"You get a pleasant surprise when you first enter the riad from the narrow street and corridor. It opens up into a beautiful foyer area. Our room was also a lovely historic room with an impressive painted ceiling. The room had everything we needed and we slept very well. Breakfast was good and served on the rooftop in a nice room with large windows. The service was generally very good although they did appear to be short staffed. The receptionist kept answering by phone while trying to check us in at the same time. We also found the front door locked and were unable to leave as a receptionist wasn’t at the desk. The walk to the centre of the medina take about 20 minutes and you will come across locals telling you certain routes are “closed” trying to get you to pay them money to show you the way. Trust your phone GPS. The hotel is near a road accessible by cars which is convenient for drop off and pick up. No need to drag cases through the narrow streets. "

"Excellent riad in the old city. Very friendly multilingual (Arabic, English and French) staff that can help with taxis and tours. Beautiful rooms with luxury touches (we had one on the top level with an open-air terrace and a wonderful view). The restaurant is excellent for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended for those wanting a very nice place in the old medina. "
