"We stayed at the Whitestone cottage for an extended weekend and it was amazing. We had a large group of 14 guys and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is a chefs kitchen, it’s got everything you need and more along with a dining room table that can probably fit 20 people without any issues. There is so much to do at this property both outdoor and indoor if the weather isn’t cooperating. I’ll have to find another excuse to make my way back to the cottage. "

"The amazing location of this.cottage and it's steps away from a beautiful lake are just a very few things to fall in love with this location. But I could keep on going all gaga about this place that comes with abundance of entertainment for kids , ready BBQ and wood for a bonfire and a very cosy atmosphere. But what takes the cake is the kindness and friendliness of the property owner and his always accessible nature when you need anything.. Surely spreading this cottage to my known people and will be back again to this very memorable location ."

"The stay had everything as we expected. Our group wanted to spend time doing activities indoors and explore some outdoor as well. The rooms were very clean and comfy with enough sleeps and washrooms. Many indoor activities to spend time with including Pool table, Air hockey, Table tennis. Hot tub experience was very memorable."

"Wow from the moment we stepped in the door. Everything we needed was available. The View of the lake and Forrest through the floor to ceiling window was stunning. I would definitely want to return."

"The cabin was perfect for us and our dog. It is clean with plenty of space and a well-stocked kitchen. The lake is gorgeous and so close to the cabin. Our dog loved romping in it every morning. Our host was kind and very responive. We'd totally stay again."

"Family reunion trip where both main cottage and cabin were rented together. The pros first- Host Terry was very responsive to questions and very accommodating. The interior of the main cottage was very nicely renovated. Linens and towels provided. Wi-Fi stable. Lake Shawanaga was warm and very clean. However, there were some disappointments. 1. Both main cottage and cabin were not cleaned very well. There were cobwebs in bedrooms and bedsheets still had lots of pet hair. One bedside table was full of used tissue from prior renter. 2. Pictures show the cottage to be right by the beach “steps from the beach”. The specifics to this is that there is quite abit of elevation from the “beach” to the cabin and even more uphill hike to the main cottage. This was not accessible to most staying in the main cottage and we ended up driving people back and forth to the “beach” 3. The “beach” is actually a municipal boat launch and the only access for many properties on the lake. Although advertised a place we can set up and hang out for the day, there were boats being launched every 30 mins or so, and even when in the water we would have to move out for boat launch traffic. Not your own “beach”. 4. The grounds were not well maintained and the grass quite overgrown. The campfire area around the cabin was extremely overgrown and not pleasant. 5. Advertised as a very large land area, but most of this is forest and not accessible. Not even a decent area to play volleyball or badminton. "
