"Beautiful castle like hotel with excellent staff . Excellent scenery and excellent food. The only thing bad is the journey to the hotel is horrifying especially in the evening. It is not easy to find the place."

"Loved the decor of this place which was why we chose it . Didn’t disappoint. Really comfy bed with massive duvet to keep warm under. Loved having the separate lounge area as well. Efficient hot water systems in place for the shower and sink. Would have preferred a more traditional Sri Lankan breakfast but cannot complain about what was provided. "

"The biggest problem with this hotell was to find it. Our taxidriver asked tuc-tuc-drivers and lokal people, and no one knew the location of the hotel. They had'nt even heard of it. We drow around for half an hour. No signs along the road, not even when we were near by. When we walked back after dinner in the town, there where no lightening near by so that we could be sure to walk the right way. The room was clean, but we missed a small table beside the bed. "We had a lovely stay at this delightful bungalow which was the ex governors bungalow built 110 years ago. Very friendly staff who made our stay very comfortable preparing packed breakfast for our early start to Hortons Plains."

"The opportunity to stay in a villa surrounded by tea fields was too hard to miss out on. We arrived from Badula on the train and were welcomed by the staff at the house. It was clean and comfortable and a 15 minute walk into town. The next morning we were given a great breakfast and then walked into the tea field adjoining the property. "It is unique and super in every way. The staff are fantastic. Big thank you to Dominda who went out of his way to help. The trip to the waterfall and swim is a must do. Domindas English is great and as a local explains everything which provides an insight to this incredible place. We will come back and stay longer next time! 🙏"

Heritance tea factory thank you

"If you enjoy fantastic landscapes, history and excellent service, this is the perfect place for you. Our welcome to this remarkable building was warm and very professional. The reception, restaurant and bar have been restored from a factory ,impeccably with style, class and sympathy. We were showed to the room via an orginal factory evelator. I loved the bedroom it was comfortable and cosy. Can I add it is very colonial, some would say dated, but I would disagree, and the hotels pictures of the room were accurate. We ate a very good buffet dinner accompied with impeccable service. I would like to add I am an engineer and for me it was a unique experience in a breathtaking landscape. But you will noitce there are no pictures of the bathrooms on the website. There is no getting around it, the bathroom needed a refurb and if you like modern day sharp hotels it may spoil your stay. But we thought overall it was amazing and we would not have missed the experience. Thank you to everyone at this unique hotel. "
